In today’s competitive market, where consumers are spoilt for choice in selecting service providers, it is imperative that business leaders view the company as a market where there is an internal supply chain of internal suppliers and customers. This facilitates the creation of a sense of customer consciousness amongst staff and enables the delivery of promises made by external marketing activities. Thus, by satisfying the needs of its internal customers, both employees and the organisation as a whole may be better positioned to satisfy the requirements of its external customers.
Workplace Psychology aims to assist organisations to achieve this aim. We do this by enhancing the performance, motivation and production levels of employees through the provision of our consulting services. Our joint experience spans ten years. Clients that we have worked for include Deloitte Consulting, Larona Consulting, Omnicor, Joint Prosperity, Nedbank, First National Bank, Moruo-Bathong. Under their banner, we have successfully assisted several corporates and government departments with their Talent Management strategy. We are a network of psychologists and psychometrists who deal with various aspects of Organisational Psychology.
COMPETENCY/PSYCHOMETRIC ASSESSMENTS
With the competitive job market it is imperative that the right candidates are employed in a suitable position. This places additional responsibility on the Human Resource function in terms of screening and interviewing candidates which ultimately increases the time and cost of employment. Although the HR process strives to improve the success rate of employing the best candidate for the job, it is still not full proof. Assessment is an excellent way of identifying suitability for the job. With the use of competency and psychometric assessments, we can identify an individual’s strengths and development areas and, based on the outcomes, suggest whether they will be suited to a specific role. We can also make recommendations as to how they can refine their skills. Hence, this service can add significant value to the recruitment process by empowering businesses to make informed decisions before employing individuals. It can also be effectively used as part of a leadership development programme.
